This tour from 1937 will take you around many of the county's main places of interest and some of the best coastal and inland scenery.
English Heritage is now responsible for Tintagel Castle, St Mawes Castle and Pendennis Castle and some other properties whilst the National Trust owns and manages many properties, gardens and coastal areas. Both charities charge entry fees to their properties and there are charges for the NT coastal car parks. It is advisable to be a member of one, or both, of these organisations if you are a regular visitor; see their websites for details of properties and places to visit. See also www.visitcornwall.com.
NB: There is an error in the text of the article. Lizard Point is the most southerly point, where there is a National Trust car park, and not Lizard Head. There are five very enjoyable walks from Lizard Green.
