Events Diary
our events for the months ahead

Our programme of events each year is centred around monthly runs so that members are encouraged to use their 'Seven' in order to preserve it.  Club holidays are often supplemented with a spring and autumn weekend breaks.  Other events are arranged as the need, or interest, arises; one example is a 'Teach-in' if sufficient members are interested in learning about a specific topic.

CA7C offers something for every member, whether they are a lanesman who likes to get wild in the countryside, a static rally fan who enjoys displaying their 'Seven', or a tinkerer who can’t live without the smell of hot oil and the feel of spanners - it is all available for the Seven enthusiast.

Members also support local summer shows and the Annual Rally of several up-country Austin Seven Clubs, but details of other Club's events are not shown in this listing.

If you are new member and unsure about Club runs see what is involved at
'Shall we do a Club run?  Some tips on what is involved'

You should also be familiar with 'Club Runs - Convoy Rules'

Our members also support local summer shows and the Annual Rally of several up-country Austin Seven Clubs,
but details of other Austin Seven Club's events are not shown in this listing.

If you are unsure about attending a local show then these tips might help you.
So you want to go to a Rally? (a local show, historic car rally or village fete)

Any Austin Seven enthusiast visiting Cornwall is welcome to meet up with us during the day for a chat,
or join one of our Club Runs with an Austin Seven as a guest.
Please contact Andrew Jarmin for details nearer the date of the event.

Date Event
December
Tuesdays North Cornwall Runs - There are no further evening runs for The 'Unstoppables', probably until the lighter evenings return.
Wednesdays West Cornwall Runs - all members are welcome to meet on Wednesday mornings for short rums which will always be dependent on the weather.   It is, therefore, important to check Facebook on Tuesday evenings for details or call Chris Gill or Mike Thorn for start venue.
Look on our Facebook Page “Friends of the Cornwall Austin 7 Club” for news of Adhoc runs.
January 2022
Sat 15 New Year Lunch at The Penhale Round, Fraddon for lunch at 1.00pm.  We are hoping that this location is central enough to allow access from all over the county and that as many people as possible will attend.  Whilst we are not arranging a formal run to or from the pub we hope you will be able to travel up with others in your local area to make an informal run.  Alternatively, you could do so afterwards.

Regarding COVID, obviously if anything changes from the position at this current time, we will let you know or amend plans accordingly.  An area within the pub will be set aside for our group with tables rather than one big table.

If you would like to come, please let the Organiser as soon as you can - for details see December Focus p5. Final numbers need to be with the pub by Wednesday 5th January.

End to End Run - Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Austin Seven a number of people are again planning to drive from one end of the UK to the other, either from John O' Groats to Lands End or from Lands End to John O’Groats.

There is no set route or direction (you can start at either end or do both), but to help people take a safe approach to the run they need to take longer than 24 hours to complete the end to end run.  A 16 day window will make it easier for people to book a holiday, take a more scenic route or avoid bad weather

To make it more special and continue the tradition the South Wales Austin Seven Club is organising bumper plates, window stickers, souvenir plaques and framed certificates.  Entry fee is £25 per car, all drivers listed on the certificate.

If you are interested in taking part or have already planned to complete the End to End and fancy a certificate please contact swa7csecretary@gmail.com or visit the events page on the www.Southwalesaustinsevenclub.com
Sun 24 Club Run supporting FBHVC 'Drive it Day'  to celebrate the freedom to drive our historic vehicles on the public highway and commemorate the 1000 Mile Trial of 1900.  Runs from all parts of the County to meet at NT Lanhydrock.
